About Us

Milner’s Smash Repairs began in Redcliffe in 1964 and was originally established by Ray Milner the father of the current owner.

At that time the business was situated on the corner ofAnzac Avenue and Oxley Avenue Redcliffe. This was a very busy operation and the panel and paint sections were sited to accompany a service station, with full mechanical services and a number of tow trucks.

In 1985 the business was rationalized and relocated to a new industrial estate in Kippa Ring only a short distance from the original site. Milner’s Smash Repairs established a very good reputation over the years and the founder’s involvement in the local community has assisted in the establishment of a good, medium sized business today.

Ray’s son Nick completed his trade with the company and with Ray’s teaching and guidance Nick has developed the experience and business acumen to take over the operation of the business and has done so since 1997.

Nick Milner offers his business services to the Insurance Industry, the Fleet Operators of the area and of course, to his many established and new customers.

Q. Can I email photos for you to quote, or do you quote over the phone?

A. We do have email facilities, although we believe the only way to do a complete estimate is to see the vehicle first hand. We are not able to give an accurate quote over the phone.

Q. How many quotes do I need?

A. Every insurance company is different, however most of them only require one quote from us.

Q. Do you repair rust?

A. Due to the large cost of accident repair equipment, we have specialised in collision repairs, not restoration.

Q. Do you do private work?

A. Yes, we do, however most of our repair work comes through insurance claims.

Q. I’m insured with “XYZ company” do you do work for them?

A. Yes, we are happy to work with your chosen insurance company. As each company has different claim procedures,
we recommend you contact us for the correct insurance claim procedure.

Q. Do I need to ring first or book in a time for an estimate?

A. Yes, bookings are preferred, please call our office to arrange this. If you are requiring an insurance estimate you should also bring your claim number with you.

Q. Do you guarantee your repairs?

A. Yes we do. If there is a problem with our workmanship we will fix it at no cost to the owner.
